First aid refers to the actions taken in response to someone who is injured or suddenly taken ill.

A First Aider is a person who takes the action in responding to someone who is injured or suddenly taken ill while taking care to keep everyone involved safe and to cause no further harm while doing so.

Anyone can be a First Aider so far as you have the requisite first aid knowledge and skills to save lives. NOTE: Everyone is encouraged to acquire first aid skills because first aid saves lives.

St. John Ambulance Ghana first aid certifications are valid for three (3) years.
